Discover the area

The Drôme Provençale is home to many castles such as Grignan (made famous by Madame de Sévigné), Suze-la-Rousse (and its wine university) or Aulan (perched on its rocky peak). A perched village classified as the most beautiful village in France in Poët-Laval or, surrounded by a real limestone wall, the massif of the Saoû forest which extends over 2 500 hectares and shelters an exceptional biodiversity.

For the sportsmen, the hikes of the GR de Pays de Dieulefit, the mountain bike, the climbing, the paragliding from the mountain of Ruy or, if we widen the zone of discovery to the Drôme, the descent of the Drôme in canoe at Saillans.

In winter, you can visit the numerous domains in the area, farms, lavender distillations (l’essentiel de Lavande in la Bégude de Mazenc), honey factories (les Délices aux Miel in Roussas), or truffle tasting.

The events can also be consulted on the website of the Tourist Office.

Visit the village

Dieulefit has 282 days of sunshine per year. The village is famous for its clean and dry air and still houses a cardio-respiratory rehabilitation center.

The pottery and ceramic trades, which have existed for more than two thousand years, have enabled Dieulefit to obtain the label “ville et métier d’art“.

The Grands Magasins, the Jean Da chocolate factory and the charming Saut et Gambades bookstore in the rue du bourg are must-sees in Dieulefit.
